The Professional Profiles
The Professional Profiles describe generic roles across the policing profession, for police officers and police specific staff roles.
Work to update all the Policing Professional Profiles to incorporate the new Competency and Values Framework (CVF) 2024 and core skills is continuing and anticipated to be completed in September 2024. It is recognised that Forces will be using the different versions of the CVF for 2024-25, hence the decision has been made to make both versions of the Profiles available.
All the CVF 2024 updated profiles are therefore in the process of being uploaded onto College Learn and should be available by October 2024. Profile versions, with the CVF (2016), will remain on the Professional Development Platform until May 2025. Please note that new Profiles created after April 2024 will be available on College Learn only.
To access the new CVF Profiles on College learn, login to College Learn and either click on Browse, Specialist Learning (Learning Programmes), Policing Professional Profiles to view all Profiles or enter a specific Profile name (e.g. Kennel Assistant) in the search function.
